The surfer's name is Mike Parsons. It's real. It was in Hawaii during a big wave riding contest. It's the largest wave ever surfed. He was going nearly 50 miles per hour at some points. He didn't win the contest.

It is at the Cortes Bank.. Usually only 4-20 ft but it has been known to get over 200ft. It is not a fake, just a badass tow in wave.. Google magic my friends....
